Classroom Action Research


I. IRB

In order to conduct research at U.C., you must be certified by U.C.'s IRB. Complete the citi-training here . This training will take 8-10 hours. You may stop and re-start after any module and your progress will be saved. Do not stop within a module. Even if you study will be excluded, you need to complete the training.

Much of the classroom research we conduct may be considered excluded from review. In order to determine whether the study is excluded, submit a 1-2 page summary along with this form to the IRB.


If your study is not excluded and needs full review, see the submission instructions here, and get advice for wording or a sample from other faculty who have successfully completed IRB reviews.
